Crabbing at Pier 7 and Fort Mason

We used raw chicken as bait and caught a ton of crabs. Lots of them were too small and we had to throw them back, but there were some keepers.

At Fort Mason there was a sea lion that stole our bait 🙁 . We even knew ahead of time that the sea lions were there and despite pulling the elastic hook as tight as possible, they were still able to get into our bait cages. We ended up using a zip tie to secure our bait cage closed.

We brought binoculars and we could see all the tourists at Alcatraz, a bunch of windsurfers, and an old dude paddleboarding in the middle of the bay!

Rusty had a great time on the pier!
